Yellow Zircon, Pearl and Silver Ring
Yellow Zircon, Pearl and Silver Ring
A highly unusual and incredibly special vintage ring. The central gemstone is a yellow zircon, with a slightly grassy, deeply golden hue. The zircon is quite deep in dimension, giving it a rich, vibrant color. Yellow is one of the rarest hues of zircon, and zircons are among the oldest gemstones on planet earth, with some dating at 4.4 billion years old! Surrounding the zircon are 10 round cultured pearls, set in a halo shape. Both the bezel of the zircon and the outer frame encircling the pearls feature milgrain detailing. Each shoulder of the ring depicts a shield shaped frame, filled with engraved embellishments of leaves, which are also framed with milgrain. The ring is silver (tested) and stamped with Chinese hallmarks for silver, indicating that it was originally produced in China, sometime in the 20th century.
