Victorian Opal Trilogy Ring
Victorian Opal Trilogy Ring
Three vibrant opal cabochons are lovingly cradled in a claw-pronged, rosy-hued 14 karat gold ring setting. This ring hails from the Victorian era and has been tenderly well-cared for in its lifetime. It is in wonderful condition and ready for a new owner. The opals in this ring have incredible color, flashing blue, green and in certain light displaying a warm pinkish body color. This ring could be a perfect alternative engagement ring, gift for someone with an October birthstone or simply a present for an antique jewelry lover.
Opal is a fascinating gem: it grows in a different manner than most other crystalline gems, developing over millions of years from the fusion of silica spheres in water-rich environments below the surface of the earth. Opals are actually the oldest gemstone on earth; most are more than 60 million years old! While fascinating to look at and wear and treasured around the world for their dynamic patterns and play of color, opals should be cared for lovingly as they are softer than other gemstones.
