A lovely Victorian slide chain featuring a gorgeous slide embellished with opal and turquoise cabochons. I love this slide because it somewhat resembles a skull. Slide chains such as these were immensely popular during the Victorian era. Crafted in both gold and gold-filled, they could be layered, worn long, doubled up - the possibilities were (and remain) quite vast. This chain would look wonderful worn alone, layered with other chains, or strung with a pendant or favorite charm(s). Fastens with dog clip style clasp.

Measures 49” long, 24.5” when worn doubled. Slide measures 5.8mm wide, 8.7mm long and 4.1mm deep.

Very good antique condition; this 100+ year old chain is in excellent shape. Gemstones are in fabulous condition and secure in their settings
