Turquoise Pendant Necklace

A beautiful Southwestern silver and turquoise pendant necklace. One large turquoise cabochon is cradled in a simple silver sawtooth setting, delicately ornamented with textural details. An inverted teardrop-shaped bail features matching chase work. The turquoise cabochon is oval shaped, cut and polished to be somewhat flat at the top with curved edges. It features beautiful dappling of lighter and darker turquoise hues, with a few natural brown spots near the edges of the stone. The color is evocative of Sleeping Beauty mine turquoise; this mine is the location from which I was told the gem originated. Pendant hangs from a lovely and long silver paperclip style chain, which fastens with a lobster claw style clasp.
