Aquamarine: the gem so watery they named it after water twice! The range of hues of aquamarine, part of the beryl family (and related to emerald, morganite, heliodor, bixbite and goshenite) can vary from deeply saturated to lightly saturated blues. This pair of aquamarines, cut in pretty trillion shapes and set in golden basket settings, is of the lighter blue. They reflect light beautifully and would make a beautiful alternative for a pair of diamond earrings, perhaps for someone with a March birthday (for which aquamarine is the birthstone.) Earrings secure with 14k gold friction backs.
