These vintage earrings feature two beautiful emerald cut colorless topaz stones, each set in an a polished 14 karat gold bezel setting; earrings secure to the ear via a French wire. The root word of topaz traces to the Sanskrit term for “fire.” Ancient Greeks believed that topaz gave its wearer strength. Renaissance-era Europeans believed topaz could dispel charms and dissolve anger. These are lovely earrings with a lot of presence and could be a nice gift for someone with a November or December birthday, for which topaz is one of the birthstones.
