Colorful and eye-catching scarab jewels such as this pair of earrings are terrific examples of the Egyptian revival aesthetic that has been wildly popular since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. Scarabs are symbols of transformation, protection, renewal and rebirth. They represent eternal life and the natural cycles of life: a poignant and important symbol imbued with the mystical symbolism of Egyptian-style decorative arts! 

A pair of sweet scarabs carved from tigers eye and set in 14 karat gold bezels. Petite and ideal for everyday wear. Tigers eye is a phenomenal gem (a variety of quartz) which contains crystalline fibers within its structure. When the gem interacts with light it displays a chatoyant effect that is absolutely mesmerizing. Earrings secure with 14k gold friction backs.
