Silver Vessel Brooch

A beautiful sterling silver brooch by Stieff. Marked Williamsburg, Stieff Sterling, RT50-10. This brooch has the form of a silver vessel with naturalistic, sculptural arms at either side and a smooth, beveled texture across the body. An opening at the top of the brooch goes all the way inside; this could be worn as a functional vase with the addition of flowers! The brooch is freshly polished but some natural patina (common with vintage and antique silver jewelry) remains. Fastens with modern safety catch.
