Pink Sapphire and Gold Necklace

A gorgeous vintage heart pendant featuring approximately 1.18 carats of pink sapphires set in 18 karat gold. The pink sapphires are pave set, creating a beautifully saturated field of color and sparkle across the face of the pendant.

Pink sapphire is a variety of corundum, the same mineral species as ruby, and its color can range from delicate blush pink to much more saturated shades such as those seen here. Pink sapphires are prized for their lively color and excellent durability, making them particularly well suited to jewelry intended for regular wear.
