A radiant pair of petite gold and pearl hoop earrings. These huggie-style vintage hoops cradle the earlobe and make a nice everyday earring with a small but impactful profile. Earrings have a hinged ear-wire that fastens in a U-shaped catch. Pearls are genuine drop-shaped cultured pearls, well-matched, with a white body color, good luster and slight pink/violet overtones. Prior to the advent of the pearl culturing industry in the early 20th century, pearls were the rarest and most highly valued gem on earth - hundreds of years ago, they were considered more precious than diamonds! These are a lovely staple jewel for any collection.
