Pearl Drop Earrings

A dazzling pair of pearl earrings, fashioned from 14 karat gold. Each earring consists of a round brilliant cubic zirconia (cz) gem in a post style setting, below which balances a drop-shaped black pearl. These pearls are genuine round cultured pearls, well-matched, with good luster, slightly "peacock" or blue-toned overtones. Earrings are complete with a pair of 14k gold friction backs. Prior to the advent of the pearl culturing industry in the early 20th century, pearls were the rarest and most highly valued gem on earth - hundreds of years ago, they were considered more precious than diamonds! These are a lovely staple jewel for any collection.
