Opal and Gold Ring

A bright and lively opal cabochon in an oval shape is held in a minimalist, 14k yellow gold setting. The central solitaire opal has a white body color with a beautiful and flashing play of color, predominantly showing blue and green. The pattern of the play of color is a striated/pinafore pattern: lots of small dashes and radiant brushstrokes. As this ring is worn and moved in a light source, it lights up differently. The gold setting is simple, allowing the central gem to be the star of the show. The shoulders are split and there is a slightly elevated gallery beneath the opal. This vintage ring is in beautiful condition and ready for a new owner. Central opal cabochon measures 10mm tall and 8mm wide. Setting rises 7.5mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 2.1mm.
