A sleek and modern pair of Southwestern silver and malachite earrings. Each earring is centered with an oversized, oval-shaped malachite, featuring curved banding in shades of light and vivid green. Beautiful malachite is known for natural color banding in multiple hues of green and for curved, straight and botryoidal (round clustered) patterns which occur naturally during the formation of this material. The stones are well-matched, with their patterns a near mirror-image with slight variations. Each cabochon is set in a simple silver bezel frame. The earrings have a post style setting and come with friction backs. They are signed by the silversmith who crafted them with the initials, “AIO.”

Each earring measures 30.8mm tall and 24.2mm wide; malachite cabochons measure 23mm tall and 17mm wide.

Excellent condition. These have been freshly polished but some natural patina (common with vintage and antique silver jewelry) remains.
