Lapis and Silver Scarab Ring

A dynamic jewel with a central carved lapis lazuli scarab cabochon in an artisanal silver ring setting. Scarabs are symbols of transformation, protection, renewal and rebirth. This scarab is beautifully and thoughtfully carved from a gorgeous specimen of lapis. Featuring inclusions of pyrite, the scarab appears to glitter and flash a bit where these inclusions reflect light. The metallic speckles beautifully complement the silver ring setting. The scarab is cradled between two silver pillars and held in place by a silver post, slightly bent at each side of the ring to allow it to be securely positioned while allowing for a bit of movement. While the scarab can rock side to side in its setting, the design of this ring is not such that it can flip on its back. The ring features a hammered and high-polished sterling silver setting.

Scarab measures 15.2mm tall, 20.0mm wide and 9.5mm deep. Setting rises 11.4mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 3.9mm.
