A gorgeous and generously sized oval-shaped lapis lazuli cabochon is centered in a minimalist 14 karat gold setting, creating a ring that is striking in its simplicity. Lapis lazuli is a hard stone gem known for its vivid, deep blue hue. This specimen contains lapis’ best known inclusions: pyrite and calcite. The way the inclusions display on this jewel - scattered silver pinpoints of pyrite and soft faded “clouds” of calcite - gives this lapis the beautiful impression of a night sky.

Central lapis cabochon measures 16mm tall and 12mm wide; bezel framing lapis measures 2mm all around. Setting rises 7.1mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 1.8mm.
