Soft drops of jade gracefully framed in gold. A lovely pair of pear (or drop) shaped light green jadeite jade cabochons have a light and lively color, featuring the softness and brightness for which jade is treasured. The cabochons are elegantly set in a pair of 14 karat gold post earrings; each cabochon is held in a gold bezel with a delicate gold rope motif border. The earrings have pierced posts and securely fasten via hinged omega style backs. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals.
