A jade saddle ring is one of the jewelry items that lives rent free in my head. The style gets its name from the manner in which an elongated cabochon resembles the seat of a saddle. This is a fine example with a soft green jadeite jade gem set in 14 karat gold. The design of the ring is sleek and modern and the jade is circled in a gold bezel. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. The design and composition of this ring make it ideal for daily wear.

Jade cabochon measures 13mm wide and 6mm tall. Setting rises 4.22mm off the finger, measures 7.06mm wide at top. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 3.25mm.
