A pair of luminous green jade and 14 karat gold hoop earrings. Jadeite jade is most commonly seen in shades of green, but it comes in a veritable rainbow of colors. These vintage earrings are a verdant green -a lovely soft hue - and very even in texture. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. Each hoop takes the shape of a 3/4 ring, capped on either side with a 14 karat gold piece. The wires and friction backs are also 14 karat gold.
