Jade and Gold Hinged Bangle Bracelet

One of my absolute favorite kinds of vintage bracelet: a lovely, thick jade bangle with a hinged opening and 14 karat gold accents. These jewels are so luxe and classic, with a you’ll-have-it-forever feel. This jade is a lovely texture, light and vibrant, and has been carved into two half rings, which are linked by a 14 karat gold capped hinge on one side and box clasp with a safety chain on the other. The gold elements are neatly ornamented with floral and linework engraving. The body color is primarily a light green jadeite jade which marries well with a patch of deep red jade set in one of the two halves; the other half is primarily the light green jade with scant red mottling. This piece has a wonderful weight - present, but not too substantial - when worn. It is not difficult to put on and take off using just the free hand. My wrist is on the smaller side and this fits me comfortably with some room; it is recommended to consult measurements here and on your own wrist prior to purchase.
