Jade and Gold Drop Earrings

These beautiful earrings feature two elongated drops (sometimes referred to as torpedo-shapes) of the lightest and loveliest hue of jade. Having a translucent and even texture, with a whisper-light shade of green, these drops have great presence but are lightweight enough to be worn comfortably. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. A gold half-round post element with a petite chain carries a gold cap from which the jade is suspended. The gold cap has a zig-zag serrated edge border. The gold in these earrings is 14 karat, and a slightly rosy hue (common in vintage gold) which beautifully contrasts the light green of the jade. Comes complete with push backs, also of 14 karat gold. Altogether, these earrings are simply stunning and bound to become a favorite pair.
