Jade and Gold Drop Earrings

A light and lovely pair of jadeite and gold earrings. Each earring consists of a round jade cabochon set in a 14 karat gold basket setting-style post, below which dangles a pear shaped jadeite cabochon in a matching setting. The earrings come complete with friction backs. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. These earrings have a soft and subtle, warm green color evocative of the earliest days of spring.
