Gold and Diamond Buckle Ring

A lovely vintage ring displaying the motif of a buckle, accented with nine small diamonds. The buckle originated as a frequent motif in Victorian jewelry design, and like virtually all fashions of this era, rife with symbolism. Buckles denoted unbreakable bonds and connections. Central gallery measures 8.1mm tall and 11.2mm wide.  Setting rises 3.1mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 2.5mm.
