Gemstone Scarab and Gold Bracelet II
Gemstone Scarab and Gold Bracelet II
Colorful and eye-catching scarab jewels such as this bracelet are terrific examples of the Egyptian revival aesthetic that has been wildly popular since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. Scarabs are symbols of transformation, protection, renewal and rebirth. They represent eternal life and the natural cycles of life: a poignant and important symbol imbued with the mystical symbolism of Egyptian-style decorative arts!
This bracelet was made in the middle of the 20th century and consists of eight carved scarabs - each encircled by a golden bezel - set in a row with a golden link between each. The gems of this bracelet are cabochon shaped with beautiful and thoughtfully carved details on both the front and reverse sides; they include: tigers eye, rose quartz, chalcedony, carnelian, unakite, amethyst and pink marble scarabs. The bracelet is fashioned from 14 karat yellow gold and fastens with a box style clasp. It also features a solid gold safety chain which fastens with a spring ring style clasp.
