A beautifully deep red garnet cabochon is set in a thick and sturdy gold ring setting. This is one of those rings that has such terrific presence - you’ll want to wear it every day! The garnet cabochon is of the pyrope variety; pyrope is a name that comes from Greek: “fire” and “eye.” Garnet is a family of gems that come in a rainbow of hues, however it is most famous for the red varieties. This gem is very eye clean with a rich, wine-red color. The garnet is flush set within a golden frame with sloping shoulders and a band with a slightly half-round shape.
