A fabulous vintage solitaire ring featuring a lively red garnet in a Tiffany-style six prong setting. The ring is fashioned from 14 karat yellow gold. 

This ring likely originally held a diamond, which was replaced somewhere along the line with this special garnet. The bright color of this gem is quite lovely - not something you see in every garnet. If you wished, this could make a perfect alternative engagement ring. Garnet is also the birthstone for the month of January.

Garnet measures 7.0mm across.  Setting sits 7.1mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 1.5mm.

Ring size 5.25

Very good condition. Details on the metalwork at the ring's shoulders have been worn a bit, but otherwise in terrific shape.
