A dazzling vintage pair of carved lapis lazuli and 14 karat gold hoop earrings. Nice, chunky hoops are a covetable and easy jewelry staple and these are special ones, crafted of two crescent-shaped pieces of lapis lazuli, a hardstone gem treasured for the deep and vivid hues of blue in which it occurs. These earrings feature lapis dappled with metallic pyrite inclusions, a beautiful natural embellishment often found in this gemstone. These earrings are secured by a 14k gold cap on either edge of the lapis ring, linked by a hinged, slightly curved ear-wire that fastens in a U-shaped catch.
