An evocative and romantic antique carnelian and marcasite ring. The focal element is a cut-cornered, deep red carnelian tablet. Bezel set within a silver setting, the center gem is framed by two rows of bead-set marcasites. The shoulders have additional graduated marcasite accents. This piece carries a strong sense of history and a lovely patina.

Top gallery (carnelian with marcasite border) measures 20.0mm tall and 18.1mm wide. Carnelian measures 12mm tall by 10mm wide. Setting rises 6.2mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 1.8mm.
