A versatile pair of cultured Tahitian pearl and white gold post earrings. Pearls have a round shape and a black color with purple overtones and good luster. Prior to the advent of the pearl culturing industry in the early 20th century, pearls were the rarest and most highly valued gem on earth - hundreds of years ago, they were considered more precious than diamonds! These are a perfect staple piece for any jewelry collection, and a lovely size. Post and friction backs are 14 karat gold.
