A classic and striking pair of post style earrings featuring two rectangular black onyx cabochons set in gold vermeil. The proportions and minimalist design of these vintage earrings beautifully evoke the idea of the golden ratio. These would make for a fabulous pair of everyday earrings. 

What is “vermeil?” Vermeil is a term that describes a piece of jewelry fashioned from sterling silver (or other high-quality silver) with a solid gold overlay, typically electroplated to ensure a solid bond that will last for many years.

Each earring measures 21.1mm tall and 15.8mm wide.

Excellent condition. There is a slightly raised spot at the back of one of the earrings next to the post - this is a bit of silver solder from when the earrings were manufactured. There is no impact whatsoever when worn - please see photos for details.
