A gorgeous and unusual pair of Victorian era mourning earrings. These earrings are fashioned from carved black onyx elements, seed pearls and 14 karat yellow gold. The earrings feature curved golden ear wires which are connected to an upper black onyx element that has a slight cloud or crown-shape. Below this dangles a secondary onyx element in an inverted drop shape. Around the upper portion of the second element, a ring of gold is set all the way around. At the center of this gold band is set a row of miniature seed pearls. The lower onyx element is faceted in a diamond pattern. Overall, the effect is lovely and striking - these are gorgeous earrings for anyone, whether your style is grown up goth, refined aesthete or history lover!

Earrings measure 43.9mm in total length; excluding ear wires length is 33.8mm. At widest point, earrings measure 13.2mm in diameter.

Very good condition - one earring has two slight knicks to the lower onyx element, which is difficult to notice when worn. Please see detail photographs.
