Belais White Gold Art Deco Wedding Band
Belais White Gold Art Deco Wedding Band
An Art Deco era wedding band in 18 karat white gold, featuring delicate engraving on all sides. The chevron-style (also known as wheat) motif is immaculate and crisp on both of the inner edges of the ring, where the pattern is accented by delicate milgrain detailing. The outer edge is still in excellent shape but displays a bit more wear - this ring was evidently treasured by its original owner when it was first made (nearly a century ago!)
The inside of the band is marked “Belais” and “18K.” Belais is a historic name: this company was among the first to patent the production of white gold in the United States (in 1920.) By creating an alloy of gold, nickel and zinc, “white" gold was produced - an early alternative for platinum. Through successful marketing, the name “Belais” became synonymous with white gold and high quality jewelry.
Due to the “eternity” pattern of engraving on all sides of this band, resizing is not possible.
