Banded Agate and Gold Scarab Ring

This ring centers on an unusual carved red and white banded agate scarab. The agate features striking natural color banding with an interesting orientation: the rings appear to emanate outward from the upper right corner of the carving, with an appearance almost like planetary rings. The scarab is prong set in a 10 karat yellow gold mounting. Distinctive, symbolic and wonderfully collectible, this is a beautiful example of vintage Egyptian revival jewelry featuring one of nature’s most visually expressive gemstones.

Banded agate measures 15.9mm tall and 12.0mm wide. Ring sits 9.6mm off finger. Shoulders of ring measure 3.0mm wide, tapering to 2.0mm wide at back of ring shank.
