Azurite and malachite are two distinct copper carbonate gems that are rarely found growing together, yielding a visually stunning gemstone: a collage of the most vibrant and gorgeous earth tones. This large and striking pair of earrings features two teardrop-shaped cabochons of azurite malachite, each framed in a 14 karat yellow gold bezel. The colors displayed in the gems range from blue to green to coppery red (attributed to the “copper” in copper carbonate!) These earrings fasten with a lever back style catch closure.

Drop elements measure 16.0mm wide and 34.1mm long; earrings in total measure 47.7mm long.

Excellent condition. The reverse of both cabochons is not covered in a metal back; there are a few naturally occurring cavities visible in the back of the gem material; the front sides are perfectly smooth and polished.
