Antique Coral and Gold Ring
Antique Coral and Gold Ring
A gracefully shaped Victorian-era ring featuring a central elongated oval-shaped cabochon of very light pink coral, set in 14 karat yellow gold. This shade of coral is known in the jewelry and gem trade as “angel skin” for its heavenly warm pink hue. This cabochon of coral is quite large, and features natural color variations typical with coral. The north end of the gem has a slightly paler hue and there are two lighter spots that are actually growth variations inherent to the cabochon: beautiful reminders that this is an organic gem. The stone is set in a wide bezel setting, with forked shoulders that cradle the gallery gently on each side.
