I was entranced by the rich, deep color of these amethyst cabochons, their dimensions and depth and the lovely scalloped bezel setting in which they are housed. Amethyst is a variety of quartz, known for its range of beautiful purple hues. This pair of amethysts are well-matched and set in 14 karat yellow gold bezel and post settings which come complete with gold friction backs. Amethyst is the birthstone for the month of February.
