Jade and Gold Drop Earrings

Carved from the softest spring green jade, these beautiful earrings are bound to become a favorite part of your jewelry collection. They are comprised of a round, light green jade cabochon set in a gold post, with a secondary element - an elongated, matching jade drop set in a zigzag golden cap - balancing below a short length of gold chain. The size of these is slightly larger than average which makes them extra striking, but they are still comfortable enough for daily wear. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. This pair of earrings is fashioned from jadeite, which is a variety of jade. The post and setting are 14 karat gold and come with 14k friction backs.

Very good condition - these were likely converted at some point in their lifetime from screw-back style earrings. Caution should be employed when taking them on and off so as not to bend the posts.
