A highly detailed gold pendant necklace depicting a three-dimensional cantharus, or perhaps a tulip shell. The inside of the pendant is hollow and the outside a features ridged relief covering the body and spire of the shell, which adds visual interest. Seashells have varying religious and ritual purposes across different cultures. They can be perceived as symbols of fertility, love and the threshold between the physical and spiritual world. Cantharus shells are believed to represent new beginnings. This necklace would be a lovely and symbolic gift. The pendant is paired with an 18” gold-filled chain, which fastens with a spring ring style clasp.
